I got this for my husband as he was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis last year and has an episode almost monthly. Each time ending up in the hospital, and for a time, had a feeding tube. I thought this would be helpful for him should he be released home but with possible IV or other medical devices still attached. The pole itself is very strong. It will endure quite a bit of weight, and last for quite some time, I’m sure. I was surprised by how robust the pole is.
