I hate cleaning these things in the spring when the cotton wood trees are in bloom. They get completely clogged. I’m so glad I bought this 8 pack so I can just throw the clogged ones away and replace them brand new ones. Totally worth it.

Buyer beware this is not an induction heating device. Heating your tool will take considerable time by comparison.

It takes it a little while to heat up. Like, literally give it 5-10 minutes on full power to get up to heat. So fire it up a little bit before you start working. Works pretty well, and I don’t have any complaints. And it looks kind of cool, I’ve already had 2 “What on earth is that?” questions. Apparently, not many people know these instruments exist, lol.

I have always used a lighter or the like to sterilize my tools for propagating mushroom spawn or moving to jars, etc…. This infrared sterilizer is a huge step up. It works fast, just seconds, and you obviously know your tools are ready when they light up. If there is a drawback……. you have to heat it up first which take 10 or 15 minutes and then when you turn it off it stays hot for a while. But this is never been an issue as doing this kind of propagation takes a fair amount of set up anyway. You just turn it on at the onset of your project.
