To apply, clean the burn, peel off the blue film, and gently place the exposed moist pad over the burn or wound. Secure with adhesive tape or stretch gauze and change the pad daily. Should the pad dry out, simply moisten it before removal. For more severe burns or complications, consult a physician. These pads are intended for single use only, with sterility guaranteed unless the pouch is damaged or opened. If the packaging is compromised, refrain from use and discard the product.

The gel is thick enough to not cause any pain while being touched and it cools it so the burn stops stinging. Throw a piece of tagederm over it and you’re golden.
