AD Medical TM-2440 ABPM Monitor

Compact & lightweight Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor, which incorporates our latest technology gained from over 40 years experience in developing and manufacturing precision measurement equipment.

Allows healthcare professionals to automatically monitor a patient’s blood pressure throughout the day. ABPM can help differentiate hypertension from white coat hypertension and the data generated can be used to adjust patient medication levels. This new ABPM range was validated in accordance with the new ISO810601-2 protocol, and the blood pressure accuracy was proven to be +/-3mmHg.

The TM-2440 features USB communication and weighs just 120g. The latest A&D Analysis software is easy to use and reports can be exported as PDF files to clinical management systems like SystmOne and EMIS. Detailed pulse waveform analysis of each measurement is recorded and can be viewed for additional quality checking.

Weight: Weighing only 122 grams, it is the lightest in this class and the most comfortable. Your patient will hardly know they are wearing the monitor.

Compact Design: The new TM-2440 ise smallest in class, measuring just 66mm x 24.5mm x 95mm (WxHxD). Again ensuring comfort for the user.

Soft cloth cuff: Benefitting from a soft, machine washable cloth, to ensure maximum comfort whilst the patient wears the device over long periods of time. Cuff range offers fitting from 15cm through to 50cm.

AFib+: New A&D monitors feature unique Afib+ technology which allows patient screening for both Irregular HeartBeat and Atrial Fibrillation (AFib).

Connectivity: The new A&D ABPM range offer both USB and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy/Bluetooth Smart) as standard. For flexibility and easy data transfer to Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems including Systemone and EMIS.

Secure threaded cuff connection: The TM-2440 benefits from a secure thread-locking connection. Ensuring the cuff doesn’t become detached whilst the patient is wearing the device during their everyday life.

‘ABPM should be performed only with properly validated devices as an accessory to conventional measurement of BP [blood pressure]. ABPM requires considerable investment in equipment and training and its use for screening purposes cannot be recommended. ABPM is most useful for identifying patients with white-coat hypertension (WCH), also known as isolated clinic hypertension.

When you take a reading, it has the usual display showing systolic and diastolic readings and pulse. It also has a color-coded display that indicates whether you’re in normal, elevated, or dangerous range in case you don’t immediately know how to interpret the numbers. Additionally, if it detects an irregular heartbeat, it has a function that displays that information as well.

I did check it against an older blood pressure monitor I have and I got consistent readings on both devices, so as far as I can tell, it’s quite accurate. However, though I have confidence in this device, I would always recommend bringing any new medical device to your physician’s office for a more professional check before relying on it.
