Our home health nurse is the one who suggested Eakin Fistula and Wound Pouch – 839267, as my spouse had a rather big hole from a perforated bowl. He wasn’t able to have another surgery for a year so these bags literally saved him by allowing him to move around and do normal things. He would have been bed bound otherwise as he would have had to have dressing 24/7. The problem with dressings is that they leaked if he stood up. The bags lasted around 2 days for us, mainly because the stomach acid ate through all of our precautions, Eakin Cohesive ring, Cavalon Barrier, and Adapt Paste. These bags weren’t meant for this kind of wound but this was all we could find that did work. Thank you!
