   Out of the box, insert the include batteries and it’s ready to go.

   It took us a couple of tries of pushing the ‘On’ button to get the device to show Inches rather than Centimeters, but finally it set.

   It is fairly accurate so long as you are on level ground, and keep the device still on the wall when you step away to measure.
